Dedicated to preserve the true history
of the South, and to honor and defend the Confederate
soldier's good name
The Rowan Rifles is a dedicated camp
of the North Carolina Division of the Sons
of Confederate Veterans. Formed in
Salisbury in 1989, the camp was named after
the famous Rowan Rifle Guard which
became Co. K, 4th North Carolina State
Troops during the War Between the
States.
The camp represents the true S.C.V. -
its ideals, goals and purposes.
The camp rejects any organization that
seeks to undermine the true history of the
South or to dishonor our ancestors in
any way. We know that the War Between
the States was not fought over slavery
and that the currently taught, New England
version of the war is in fact a lie.
The camp also works actively against
Southern Heritage violations that so often
occur against our precious honor and
emblems.
The camp does not accept political
correctness as an option and will present its
views from the Southern perspective.
The camp meets at 6:30 p.m. on the
second Wednesday of each month in the
Stanback Auditorium at the Rowan
Public Library.
If you are a male of Southern descent,
and if you are interested in your Southern
culture and history, and if you are
proud to be Southern, please feel free to visit
and join our organization.
